A lovely place to stay in the beautiful Scottish Borders.
My experience at Bellevue Guest House left much to be desired. The room felt cramped, with the en suite being particularly tiny and impractical. I found it difficult to maneuver around the shower, and there was an unsettling noise transfer from adjacent rooms, disrupting my sleep.

My stay was wonderful, with a clean and comfortable room and just a short walk from The Vennel Gallery and the beautiful Kelso War Memorial, making it perfect for my city strolls. The room was impeccably clean and equipped with a delightful tea tray, making for a cozy stay. The location offered perfect access to scenic walks along the river. Breakfast featured extraordinary options, including local fruits and the best homemade veggie haggis I've tasted, though the tight en suite bathroom occasionally posed a challenge. the welcoming hosts provided great insights into local attractions, which significantly enhanced the experience.

The Bellevue is a delightful spot just a short walk from Kelso's cobbled square. Graham and Hilary's hospitality really shines, and Graham's breakfasts are both hearty and delicious, featuring local ingredients like the exceptional Scottish Borders breakfast. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with a lovely view.

The house exudes retro charm and is ideally situated for exploring the area. The local produce for breakfast was delightful, but the tight parking situation could improve. After indulging in lovely cakes and hot drinks, the en-suite room met all our requirements for comfort, though it could benefit from updated furnishings.

I had a lovely stay with delicious home-cooked breakfast options like veggie haggis and local porridge that made my mornings bright. There were some great spots to unwind, including a cozy lounge and a pretty garden. The only hiccup was a slightly cramped en suite, but it didn't spoil my overall experience at all. 😊
